About

Where the name came from

"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it." Matthew 7:13-14

The business is named after that verse on purpose, and here is exactly what it means.

The wide gate in this industry is easy to find. Buy a list. Blast a thousand contractors. Sell the same lead to four companies and let them fight over a homeowner who is suddenly getting four calls in ten minutes. Bill a retainer, send a report full of numbers nobody reads, and hope the client never checks whether the phone actually rang. It's a crowded road because it's an easy one, and most of the people on it are doing fine.

The narrow gate is the slower thing. Build something real. Rank it properly. Hand it to one business that will actually take care of the person on the other end of the call. Fewer clients, better ones, and work we can put our name and our number on without wincing.

That isn't a marketing angle. It's the reason the business is structured the way it is: one company per market, terms written down plainly, and nothing we can get paid for except your phone ringing.

Who you're calling

Mason Matteoni, owner of Narrow Gate Digital

Narrow Gate Digital is run by Mason Matteoni. He builds these sites himself. There's no account manager, no ticket queue, and no offshore team writing filler content in the background. When you call the number on this site, you get him.

He came out of a business where the phone ringing was the entire game. When the leads stopped, everything stopped: payroll, momentum, all of it. That taught him the difference between marketing that produces work and marketing that produces reports, and it's why we refuse to sell the second one.

So this is built the only way we'd want it sold to us. You don't pay for a website you have to babysit. You don't pay for a lead your competitor also bought. You get calls from people in your city who are actively looking for what you do, and if that stops happening, we want to hear about it and fix it.

If that sounds like the way you'd want to be treated, we'll probably get along.
